Post Caching
From GotWiki
Now you're back home - exhausted and ready for bed. Then it's off to work the next morning, a flurry of meetings, and finally, later that night, you're at home, and ready to log. But - do you remember the 32 caches you found yesterday? Not to worry - this is where it gets fun!
There are a few steps you need to accomplish, in order:
- CacheMate Sync: Shuffle some data and then perform a hotsync
- GSAK Import: Import the day's details from CacheMate into GSAK
- Write Logs: Entered into the Log section of the Notes dialog in GSAK
- Online Logging: Actually logging your finds on http://www.geocaching.com
- Cleanup Tasks: Just some final cleanup in CacheMate to reset the process
That's it! Repeat as necessary - whether you do your logging at the end of a one-find day, or following a mega-event like GeoWoodstock, where you may have 100's of finds to log. If you're logging finds that span multiple days, be sure to pay attention while doing your online logging, and change the date at the appropriate time - or you'll end up logging a bunch of caches on the wrong day (I speak from experience ;-).
